Parenting the ADHD Brain

Parenting an ADHD brain can be deeply frustrating–you know they have the potential, but why won’t they just do the thing you’re asking them?! ADHD brains work in unique ways–I will explain what is going on in easily understandable terms and how you, the people who are with them so much of the time, can help them not just manage their ADHD but thrive.

This session will be densely packed with evidence-based actionable content based on years of working with parents of kids who have ADHD or other related behaviors. It is appropriate for parents with kids from tot to teen and everything in between!

Emily is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, a Nationally Certified Counselor, and a Certified ADHD Professional. She worked as a School Counselor for many years at the high school and elementary levels before going into private practice counseling. She has additional training and practice in SPACE (Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions), Collaborative Problem Solving (Dr. Ross Greene), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
